A Typical Day

Throughout the day, children work both individually and in small groups.  Whether engaged in pre-reading, pre-math or actual reading and mathematics skills, whether learning to tie a shoelace or reproduce a beautiful tone in song, children proceed at their own pace.

Clear and effective self-expression is stressed through a wide range of activities tailored to age and ability.  Through observation and experimentation, they learn about simple scientific and social phenomena and their interrelationships.

Teaching methods are designed to maintain maximum participation, interests, and challenge at every level.  The highly qualified and very dedicated staff members have primary responsibility for the classrooms.  The student teacher ratio varies from 4:1 to 6:1.
