Students attend a three or 5 day program depending on age.
The Early Childhood program at Children's Hours offers a quality first learning experience outside the home. It recognizes the need for children to develop simultaneously in disparate but inter-related areas, such as:
Small Motor Skills (puzzles, games, cutting, pasting, etc.)
Gross Motor Skills (use of equipment for climbing, rocking, creative movement, etc.)
Social Skills (free play, show & tell, drama, etc.)
Your child also follows a reading readiness program which focuses on auditory discrimination and exposure to young children's literature. Number awareness is encouraged by counting with objects, number games and familiarity with simple geometric shapes.
Topics of interest may include:
Nutrition and health, animal homes and the environment, social insects, seed dispersal/planting and the solar system.
Grade Levels 1-5
As new horizons open at every level, students experience a veritable festival of growth.
As a private school, our classes do not use the new "Common Core" standards. We follow and adhere to a strong educational program with great success for our children.
